The Implant Procedure

With Tanty Family Dental, we are proud to take care of everything in-house! Dr. Tanty has performed countless dental implant procedures with precision and efficiency. During your implant procedure, you can expect:

Consultation: This includes a full evaluation, discussing your history and dental goals, and using x-rays and advanced 3D imaging to craft a personalized treatment plan.
Pre-Procedure: You’ll receive pre-operative instructions, and we’ll discuss sedation options. If you choose to be sedated, you must arrange transportation to and from the office.
The Procedure: Dr. Tanty will place the implant into the jawbone, where it will fuse with the bone over the next few months.
Restoration: Dr. Tanty will attach an abutment and restoration to complete the procedure. You’ll receive important post-operative instructions to ensure the best results and manage swelling.
Crown: Once your implant can support chewing, we’ll make a model of your teeth and create a dental crown.

While dentures may seem intimidating, they are needed for a variety of reasons, from age to accidents to genetic conditions. Tanty Family Dental uses advanced technology like intraoral cameras to ensure your dentures will fit perfectly and feel natural right from the start.

There are three main types to choose from:

Full Dentures: Replace all of the teeth in the upper or lower jaw, held in place by suction or a denture adhesive. Removeable for cleaning and overnight storage.
Partial Dentures: Replace some, but not all, teeth in the upper or lower jaw. Held in place by clips or brackets on the remaining natural teeth.
Implant-Supported Dentures: For those with enough bone density in their jaws, there is an option for dentures to be held in place using dental implants.

Give an examination, removing severely damaged or decayed teeth prior to installation.
Make a mold of your mouth and take measurements with an advanced intraoral camera.
Get your dentures built according to your exact measurements.
Install your dentures.

Professional Cleaning: We recommend getting dentures professionally cleaned every 6 – 12 months.

Your dental care team will be with you for the entire procedure, explaining the process and monitoring your progress. We will numb the area with an anesthetic to minimize discomfort and pain. After numbing, we will remove your tooth gently and apply gauze until the bleeding has stopped.

Tooth extractions are usually covered by dental insurance. Tanty Family Dental is committed to providing everyone with the smile they deserve. We offer interest-free payment plans through CareCredit for patients without insurance.
